For those who like a bit of change, Croatia is bestowed with regions where you can observe the landscapes and people from above. It is possible to go para-gliding and to fly with small airplanes year round- a trip with a hot air balloon is also a plus! And of course one has to take the weather into account: calm weather is a must and the feared Bora wind must be far from sight. Around the Ucka Nature Park, para-gliders are attracted by the mountains, as well as those in the Velebit, in the Biokovo massif or by  the peaks of the Brac, Hvar and Krk islands. departure platforms is Raspadalica in northern Istria, where you can take off all year long and you can even book a tandem flight for beginners for around 65 Euros- a good deal! In Medvednica you can take a more leisurely, extended tour with the air balloons that regularly take flight here.
