Rafting

Gorgeous river scenery, spectacular gorges, wild rapids - Croatia offers everything that makes for a good rafting adventure. The Cetina near Omis is probably one of the most famous and popular rafting areas in the country - here you are directly near the best rafting spots and many providers offering guided tours. While experts rather prefer the roaring rapids further upstream, inexperienced newcomers prefer the quieter stretches of the river in the direction of Omis. Here they can go out on their own without a great risk of injury.

Other rather quiet rafting areas to consider are the emerald Dobra in Central Croatia and the clean, full of fish Kupa which flows into the equally quiet Save. The rafting in Zrmanja in northern Dalmatia is known for being very demanding. The emerald green karst river is extremely accessible from Zadar and becomes more difficult to raft from October to May.
