Umag - Springbreak Europe

Every year in early June, the idea of partying and flirting attracts many students and party goers to the North Istrian city of Umag where, for three days straight, Spring Break Europe takes place- following the US model. Since 2009, Spring Break Europe has been celebrated in this 13,000 inhabitant-large city, which has also been the venue for the Croatia Open since 2009. More specifically, the three-day party will take place on the Polynesia Peninsula and in the Kanegra resort, where you will find pools, lounge areas and stages for live music such as electronic, house and R&B covers. The concerts and the DJ sets are the major highlights of the Spring Break of Europe, that include lineups including  international artists such as David Guetta, Nicky Romero, Pitbull and DJ Antoine. With plenty of variety, such as games, competitions and sports, the primarily young audience can easily party the 72 hours away. Party on land or at sea: Spring Break Europe offers its visitors the most versatile types of entertainment on the beach during the day and at night. Boating, para-gliding and banana boat rides are just a few examples of sporting activities away from the cocktail bars and the main Stage.

The organizers and their concept must be doing something right as there are up to 15,000 visitors who annually travel to Umag for the party. Spring Break Europe is one of the most successful of its kind outside the United States and Mexico. The organizers always provide safety and provisions at the party location: 200 helpers, 120 security guards, 20 paramedics and 2 doctors are on site. Various tour operators from Germany, Austria and other European countries offer packages for the Spring Break Europe Festival including traveling by bus or train and overnight accommodations. Prices vary depending on the type of offer. The regular ticket for the party event in Umag costs 39 Euros.
