Croatia first and best water park

During a summer holiday in Istria, a cool-down at the water park really does one some good – and brings joy to the whole family as well. Tourists in the Porec region and in Umag can rejoice because, since the summer of 2014, the Aqua Park Istralandia near Novigrad has been inviting tourists to the first adventure water park in Croatia. Covering an area of 80,000 square meters, the park has many attractions for children, adolescents and adults. Currently, the Istralandia Waterpark offers 1.6 kilometers of varying slides which are spread over nine attractions. Visitors can delight in not only the “Pirate Castle” with slides and a large pirate ship, but also discover the 27 meter high “Freefall”.

 In addition to the rapid water slides, the park is also very fitting for small children, pleasure-seekers and surfers with its various pools covering a total of 4500 square meters. On dry land you can enjoy a workout while playing beach volleyball and badminton or be entertained by the animators. For the small and big eaters, there are several restaurants, snack kiosks and bars available. There is also a currency exchange, ATMs and lockers.

 „Istralandia“ offers abundance of relaxation and excitement with guaranted adrenaling dosage on 20 different slides with over 1,6 km of tubes; high and aslope for the brave ones, slides with rubber boats and the  latest technolgy tube-slides. „Istralandia“ has the largest wave pool in this part of Europe. Aquaprk „Istralandia“ is also intended for families with children of all ages for whom adrenaline dosage and fun  can be found on children’s tower.

In October 2014 Aquapark „Istralandia“ has won in Rome, Italy a special award for the eneterprener project of the year  in the category of new water parks, known as the „Oscar of the entertainment parks“. On the most prestigeous european fair of attractions in category of the best aquaparks in Europe among the 300 aquaparks, „Aquapark Istralandia“ was two yers in a row rewarded by Kirmes&Park  Revue, Germany another prestige award: Europe’s Best Water Parks -5th place. 

 

Admission fess and directions

The Aqua Park in Novigrad is open from early June to mid-September, daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (july, august) and from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (june, september).  Ticket prices to Istralandia vary depending on the visitor’s height. Persons over 1.40 meters pay 20 euros for the whole day. Visitors between 1.40 meters and 1.00 meter pay 16 euros. This reduced ticket is also valid for the elderly over the age of 70. There is no admission fee for children smaller than 1.00 meter. Furthermore, there are attractive rates for families and groups as well as for visitors who only want to come for a half day, starting from 2:00 PM. (As of 2015)

The Aqua Park has a bus service running to various cities around Novigrad. Bus tickets or seats must be booked on the day before travel. If traveling by car, take the motorway and the expressway to Novigrad and Nova Vas.
