The popular sandy beach Bacvice is located 1.1 km southeast of the center (Diocletian’s Palace) in a small bay. The 100 m long “Blue Flag” beach impresses with a wide range of activities and natural features, such as a very gently sloping shore. The sea is only deep enough for swimming after 50 m – ideal conditions for small children and non-swimmers.
You can find variety by playing picigin, jet skiing, sailing or pedal boating. There is a playground and a beach volleyball court. The trees in the adjacent park create an idyllic setting, but offer little shade. Fortunately, parasols and loungers are available for rent. Showers, toilets and changing rooms are available, as are catering options.
