The wonderful city beach of Banje is located almost directly next to the old town walls of Dubrovnik in the east. Banje is not only the most famous beach in the city, but also the most visited. Although the beach is quite small, with a length of around 100m and a width of 30m, it is very busy with bathers, especially tourists from all over the world. No wonder, as from here you can look directly at the imposing city walls of Dubrovnik and the lushly overgrown island of Lokrum directly opposite. Banje beach offers more upscale dining options with corresponding prices as well as a wide range of leisure and sports options.

In addition to beach volleyball, you can also play football or water polo, to name just a few, and rent a pedal boat, kayak or jet ski. The beach also has a parasol and lounger rental service, showers and changing rooms, and a public toilet. Parking is available at the nearby public car park on the north side of the old town.

The western part of the beach belongs to a beach club where the younger and wealthier clientele relax during the day, while in the evenings there are popular beach parties until the early hours of the morning. As the beach is below the road and can only be reached via stone steps, it is not recommended for older people or those with walking difficulties.
