The main beach of the holiday resort of Murter and one of the most beautiful and popular beaches on the island is the sandy beach in Slanica Bay. This is located 1 km southwest of the town center. Due to the very shallow shore and sandy bottom, the beach is particularly popular with small children and non-swimmers. Shady pine trees frame the sandy beach picturesquely and offer welcome shade. There are rocky sections on the western and eastern edges.
