The picturesque fishing village of Sveti Petar na Moru – or Sveti Petar for short – is located on the Adriatic coast between Sukosan and Biograd. The quiet place is particularly popular with campers and boaters, as many excursions can be made from Sveti Petar na Moru along the coast to Biograd and Zadar, into the hinterland to Vransko Jezero or Krka National Park, and to the offshore islands of Pasman and Ugljan. Sveti Petar na Moru is a small town with a medieval character. This is evidenced above all by the Franciscan monastery of St. Peter and Paul from the 18th century with its monastery church. The interior walls of the church are a special attraction. These are covered with leather wallpaper.
Larger shopping opportunities can be found in the neighboring towns and cities such as Biograd and Zadar. A restaurant at the harbor invites you to linger in the evenings.
Natural pebble and rocky beaches stretch along the coast around Sveti Petar na Moru, some of which are popular with nudists. Dogs are allowed on the beach towards the edge of town. Other pebble beaches can be found in the surrounding towns.
