Vela Plaza is the 2 km long, extremely popular main beach in Baska. It is no wonder that the beach has been flying the “Blue Flag” since 1999. The wide beach stretches for several hundred meters along the houses and shops on the promenade. There are no trees here, but umbrellas for rent provide shade. Small children love to play in the shallow shore of the sandy areas, while young bathers and adults enjoy sports (e.g. pedal boats, water slides) or in the beach bars. The beach is barrier-free and equipped with sanitary facilities, showers and changing rooms. Lifeguards ensure safety.
