One of the most popular bathing resorts in Omis is located directly south of the river mouth in the town center: below the steep mountain range, the 800 m long Velika Plaza (Big Beach) impresses with its sandy bottom and the small-child-friendly shore. You can spend your free time on the extensive sandy beach of Velika Plaza playing beach volleyball, picigin, jet skiing or other sports activities. Those looking to relax and cool off can stop off at the beach bar and refresh themselves. There are a few shady spots on the edge and parasols can also be rented. Other facilities include showers, toilets, changing rooms, lifeguards, a playground and shops.
