The quiet place is particularly popular with campers and boaters, as many excursions can be made from Sveti Petar na Moru along the coast to Biograd and Zadar, into the hinterland to Vransko Jezero or Krka National Park, and to the offshore islands of Pasman and Ugljan. Sveti Petar na Moru is a small town with a medieval character. This is evidenced above all by the Franciscan monastery of St. Peter and Paul from the 18th century with its monastery church.
