Peaceful accommodation located in the heart of Cavtat old town. A generous sized apartment with modern facilities, very clean, great shower!! Towels changed during our stay. Generously proportioned open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with TV, European channels, but hey we weren't there to watch TV!! The outdoor space is wonderful with well tended gardens, ornamental orange trees and to enjoy the windfall from the lemon tree was a bonus. Although the owner has another larger holiday property attached, the apartment is configured to ensure privacy with your own spacious patio area with table, chairs and sun loungers. Best of all, the owner Mihajlo (Michael) is a fantastic host, welcoming and very helpful. Michael arranged for assistance with our luggage on arrival and departure which was very kind and helpful. Although there are many steep steps from Cavtat centre, (which were initially daunting due to health issues), Michael helped by showing us more manageable walking routes down into the town; this enabled us to have a very enjoyable holiday and the steps ceased to be an issue. Cavtat is a very special place, laid back, relaxing, plenty of places to walk around the shoreline and enjoy a swim in the clear waters. Cavtat has a good selection of restaurants, bars, cafes and so many wonderful homemade ice-cream shops!! There is a local bus No.10 to Dubrovnik (about 40 mins) but we preferred the regular water taxi services, it's a wonderful way to arrive in Dubrovnik and spend a day strolling around the amazing historical architecture. We loved Seaview apartment, enjoyed our chats to our resident host Michael and we wished that we had stayed longer rather than island hopping. However, we very much look forward to visiting Michael again next year. |

All facilities & kitchen equipment provided, including dishwasher and freezer (no microwave). Contemporary bathroom with generous sized shower cubicle. Beautiful manicured gardens with lemon tree, ornamental orange trees and herbs. Patio area with table, chairs and sun loungers. Cavtat has many lovely places to swim in beautiful clear waters. Good walks in the area even for the less able bodied, there is a promenade around the peninsula. We visited Dubrovnik using the local water taxi from Cavtat (60kuna). Although a local bus is available service runs every 30 mins. The very best thing about visiting Sea View apartment is it's host Mihajlo (Michael) who worked tirelessly to ensure we had a perfect stay. Initially when we arrived access to the property via many steps was overwhelming for my husband (due to a health condition), Michael arranged for our luggage to be carried to the apartment. During our stay, Michael who lives above the apartment, (very quiet neighbours!) was on hand to answer any questions and suggest places to visit. Michael is such a generous & welcoming host, he even took us on a trip to visit local villages and a local vineyard. I could not fault Cavtat Sea View apartment and would love to visit again soon. 10 out of 10 awarded to Michael, an exceptional host. Negatives: Due to location, there are many steps to gain access to the property. It would be useful to highlight this on Best of Croatia website. For longer stays, a washing machine would have been useful, but this is not included in the property. |
