Milna
Life in Milna bustles and clusters around the harbor. The majority of restaurants, taverns and shops are located here. Sporty visitors can indulge in recreational activities such as basketball, football, ping-ping and bocce. Milna also has a catamaran operating between the surrounding islands; such as Hvar, Vis and Korcula and Split on the mainland.
The Baroque Church of the Annunciation will immediately grab the attention of any visitor during a tour of the well-developed tourist town of Milna. The parish church is surrounded by a small church square, which can be reached via a few steps from the waterfront promenade. The altarpiece "Annunciation of Mary" can be viewed inside this 18th century church, as well as sculptures from the artist Ivan Rendic. A beautiful view of the ocean can be enjoyed while visiting the remains of the Church of Sveti Josip which is dedicated to the patron saint of fishermen. This old-Gothic church sits in the Osibova Bay. Other historical and architectural features include the two-story houses which were once inhabited by ship owners and captains, as well as the castle of the Cerinić family, who were responsible for building the small Church of Sveti Marija.
