Marušiči
Marusici is a small village that belongs to the Omis Riviera and lies just 15 km southeast of the capital, near to the Cetina River. Similar to the other towns in the Riviera, Marusici's steep slopes are separated into an upper and lower district (Put Borka and Capula) by the coastal road. Narrow stone stairs overgrown with lilacs and olives lead up to the upper village, where you traditionally find the houses of the locals. These give the settlement its ancient charm, while the modern holiday apartments around the coastal road towards the sea are primarily occupied by tourists.
No matter where you are staying in Marusici, however, you are always guaranteed to have fantastic views of the Adriatic. At the exit heading towards Mimice there is a small grocery store and a restaurant. Other dining options include a supermarket. The tourist office in Mimice can be reached via the coastal road within a few minutes. You can reach the neighboring villages via a footpath, but there is also a bus service.
