Srebreno
The lively city of Dubrovnik is just minutes away, making it accessible at any time either by car or by taking the buses running regularly. That is, should you desire to experience culture and crowds. Boat owners often cavort in the harbor from where they sail to the nearby islands such as Mrkan (bird sanctuary), Bobara and Lokrum. Culture aficionados flock to the local Sacred Heart Church, which was built under the poet and minister Silvio Milosavić.
Recuperation, however, is not the only advantage of taking a holiday in Srebreno. Revelers can also dance away until the early hours of the morning in the only discotheque in the town. Nature lovers can rent bicycles or motorcycles and explore the beautiful surroundings on wheels. The nearby nature reserve island of Lokrum is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its unique flora, the local monastery and the palace complex. It is, therefore, one of the most popular attractions in Srebreno. In addition, there is a wide range of sports and leisure activities available. Divers and surfers get their money's worth in Srebreno as well as hikers and cyclists. On top of that, there are also many traditional festivals in Cavtat and Dubrovnik and visitors will certainly have enough to do in the smaller towns and villages, so boredom is never an issue.
