Potočnica
Potocnica originated in the 1980s and lies on the northwest part of the island of Pag, in the Pag Bay, south of Lun. The settlement consists mainly of weekend cottages and holiday apartments. Potocnica has remained a quiet place on the west coast of the island of Pag, which still has no places to shop. There is only one restaurant located in the village. There are more restaurants and shops in Novalja, 10 km away. While in Novalja, it is also worth it to visit the historical monuments, such as the Roman aqueduct from the 1st century or the cultural events that take place during the summer months.
The coast of Potocnica is rugged and intersected by rough cliffs. Yet, there are, here and there, gorgeous hidden beaches: pebbled and sandy beaches that invite you to take a cool dip in the Kvarner Bay. Anyone interested can take out the boat and hit up the nearby islands, such as Losinj, Cres and Rab.
In Potocnica, you can do more than just relax on the beaches, but also enjoy the Mediterranean idyll all around you- on a bike tour, for example, to the north of the peninsula to the neighboring town of Lun, which is known for its several hundred-year old olive trees. A visit to the unique landscape of the olive tree reserve is worthwhile.
