Molunat
Active vacationers, for example, enjoy the vibrant, colorful underwater world around Molunat, or the surrounding area which is best explored by mountain bike. Fishermen get their lunches straight from the crystal clear Adriatic Sea and prepare their catch on the grill. The mild micro-climate is another positive aspect of spending your holidays in Molunat. There is no cold wind in this region. For this reason, you can swim earlier in Molunat than in most other places on the Riviera. The bathing season begins here at the beginning of May and usually lasts until late October.
Those who plan to take a day trip to Dubrovnik or Cavtat can take the bus. There are several connections per day. There are no hotels in Molunat, but guests can stay in private residences. The advantage of private accommodations are the relaxed atmospheres that many independent travelers greatly appreciate. In Molunat there are two restaurants and several small supermarkets. During the summer months, entertainment is provided in some bars and pubs, making an evening out special. Those, however, who would prefer to first call it a night when the sun comes up, will definitely find the right program in Cavtat or Dubrovnik.
Molunat is not exactly a large town, but is proud of its four bathing stalls. Speaking of beaches, Molunat has a pebbled beach and two sandy beaches in its town as well and a beach on a nearby island, which is easily accessible by boat. It is also possible to swim to this island.
