Kukljica

The small fishing village can be reached by taking the ferry connection from the mainland (Zadar) to the neighboring village of Preko, or by using the bridge in southern Kukljica, which connects the island of Ugljan with the neighboring island of Pasman. Similar to many other villages, the Dalmatian coast life takes place in the port area. Here where the fishermen bring their catch ashore, tourists stroll along the gently rocking boats and take boat tours until finally returning to the village to dine at the traditional restaurants and taverns. The tranquil day to day routine is brought to life in the summer months when various celebrations are held, such as the Procession of Our Lady of Snow (Gospa od Snijega).
