Pašman
Isolated on the mainland by the canal of Pasman Turanj, the eponymous island village lies in the center of the Pasman east coast in North Dalmatia. The center of Pasman spreads out on a small peninsula where you can enjoy from its peak a magnificent view of the offshore island of Babac and the Croatian mainland. Further islets lie along the coast around the Pasman Resort, among them the "Heart Island" which can be seen in many aerial images and all of which are worth cruising to by boat.
Pasman has several scattered, small boat harbors as well as many partially sandy beaches which make up the most popular places in the town of Pasman- here, a large part of life takes place. As the local fishermen bring their catch ashore, the tourists enjoy a leisurely stroll along the promenade or a regional dish in one of the restaurants and taverns that can be found around the main harbor in the center. For the most part, the around 380 inhabitants subsist from agriculture, fisheries and tourism, evolving Pasman into a well-developed town for tourists.
