The village, which has existed since Roman times, can easily be overseen, but deserves a second look: Here is the only Orthodox church in Istria and here the Montenegrin tradition has been well- maintained to this day. By the way: Those wanting to visit the Brijuni Islands and the National Park of the same name, can also reach it from Peroj. Expect to have longer waiting times in the high season. At least a day trip to the legendary main island is, in any case, worthwhile- where else do you have the opportunity to experience the dream world of a former dictator up close and marvel at his bizarre ideas? How whimsical he was can be experienced in the Safari Park, where visitors ride through the park with an electric train. In addition, however, the island kingdom is enchanting with its colorful and species-rich underwater world and special features, including an 18-hole golf course and professional tennis courts.
