Selca
Selca is known for its stone masonry that has had a long tradition in the town, as well as on the island of Brac. The bright stone found here can be seen in the monuments of Selca in particular, for example, in the parish church of Krista Kralj. This imposing, neo-Romanesque church which was only completed between 1921-1955, is situated in the middle of the town. At a height of 45 meters, this church's tower overlooks the entire village. From the market square, where the parish church sits, you can venture through the streets and alleyways marveling at the typical Mediterranean stone houses with red tiled roofs.
Since Selca is located in the mountainous interior of the island, guests can enjoy a magnificent view of the rugged land around Makarska. If you want to enjoy the coast of the island of Brac, you will have to drive about 3 km to the southeast. There you will find beautiful beaches in the town of Sumartin.
