The Novi Vinodolski Riviera , which is named after its namesake capital, includes other towns, such as Klenovia, Povile, Pretzel and Bribir. The next stretch of coastline begins only a few kilometers south of Selce, on the Crikvenica Riviera. The main town of Novi Vinodolski, which lies in the center of the Riviera, proudly displays its medieval charm, coupled with the traditional architecture of the region- the white stone houses with bright red tile roofs. The green of the hinterlands, along with the rough rocky shores and the deep blue waters of the Adriatic all result in a unique panorama. This panorama can be marveled at in the "eyes of Vinodol", that is, the six towers in the mountains surrounding the community of Vinodol near Novi Vinodolski. A highlight for locals and tourists in the region is the annual Summer Carnival in Novi Vinodolski. The history and architecture of Novi Vinodolski city is primarily characterized by the famous noble Croatian Frankopan family who built castles and fortresses in many regions of Croatia. The remains of their castles can be visited in the city today. The fortress Lopsica is a heir from the Roman period and this fortress follows along parts of the beach. At the well-attended town beach "Lisanj" which has been awarded the "Blue Flag", one can relax wonderfully. In addition to sandy areas this beach consists mainly out of pebble, rocky and concrete sections.

In the neighboring towns of Povile and Klenovica gravel and rocky beaches can predominantly be found, and the water is very clear, especially in Klenovica. This is due to the mixing of salt and fresh water sources. The bays of Klenovica are, therefore, not only ideal for swimming but also for diving and fishing. For those who prefer to travel the waterways, can do so and dock their boats in one of the small, idyllic harbors of the former fishing villages. The proximity of the island Krk also allows for easy and great day trips by boat.
