Riviera Trogir

Just as interesting is the town of Marina. One of the first interesting attractions to admire is the fortified tower, which formerly served as the Bishop of Trogir's summer residence and today is the landmark of Marina. During the daytime hidden rock and pebble beaches entice you to take a swim and relax in the sun and as evening draws upon the day there are a variety of events such as folklore performances and classical concerts. Once again, this goes to emphasize Croatia's status as a cultural destination.

Let's continue through the quiet village of Poljica and make a stop at the extremely popular with holidaymakers tavern "Tri Maruna" before continuing on to Seget Vranjica. This peaceful place has a large campsite where an overnight stay under the open sky is a must. In addition, it is also popular due to its proximity to the Split airport (8 km) and to Trogir- whereby making the Ciovo Island also easily accessible. Also the seat of the municipality Seget Seget Donji (a few kilometers in the direction of Split), with its rectangular and self-contained building is worth seeing. The small harbor and the lush subtropical and Mediterranean vegetation especially contribute to the idyll of this place.

The city of Trogir itself draws it fair share of tourists put under its spell by its architectural heritage, its medieval city center and the opportunity within its walls to admire nearly every architectural style from the Romanesque to the Baroque. Since 1997, it has, not surprisingly, been listed under the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Particularly interesting are its buildings such as the Prince's Palace or the St. Lawrence Cathedral which dates back to the 13th century. To unwind after an exciting day of sightseeing and for a little relaxation in the sun or a swim Trogir is the perfect place to find yourself, especially because of its bridge that connects the city with the island of Ciovo. Seven kilometers further in Slatine you will find probably the largest selection of beaches in the region. For overnight stays, the hotel Medena between Trogir and Seget Vranjica is recommended in particular. It is impressive with its wonderful beach resort and the many opportunities- not exclusively used by hotel guests- for sporting activities. Even children are not too short: A water slide on the beach as well as bouncy castles and the like sweeten up even the little ones on a vacation with the family.
