Riviera Umag – Holiday Apartments & Villas in Istria
Located in the far northwest of Istria, the Riviera Umag stretches between Savudrija, the northernmost point of the Adriatic Sea, and the Riviera Novigrad. This part of Croatia is less known for dramatic scenery and more for its pleasant climate, excellent location and diverse holiday atmosphere. It is therefore ideal for guests looking for holiday apartments, studios, rooms or holiday villas.
The mild climate makes Riviera Umag a popular destination from late spring onwards. Early in the season, the area becomes a party hotspot and at the same time one of Croatia’s most important sports regions. One of the major events is the Spring Break Europe in early June, attracting thousands of young visitors from across Europe to beaches, pools and party boats.
A completely different highlight are the prestigious Croatia Open Umag. In July, international tennis stars, VIPs and sports celebrities gather on the Adriatic coast. During this period, holiday accommodation in and around Umag is in particularly high demand.
During peak season, quieter places such as Karigador, Stella Maris, Lovrečica or resort areas like Katoro and Duba also become lively. Numerous privately owned holiday apartments and villas are nestled between pine forests and small bays.
Savudrija is famous for its historic lighthouse and excellent wind conditions, making it a popular spot for surfers and water sports enthusiasts looking for a seaside holiday apartment.
Basanija, Zambratija and the inland village of Brtonigla offer a slower pace of life, with charming holiday homes and apartments surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
