Kampor
History buffs will appreciate the nearby Franciscan Monastery of St. Euphemia (13th century.), which now houses the sacral and the ethnographic museum and a library. Another building worth visiting with ties to the history of the city is the former concentration camp of Rab, which was built during World War II by the Italian occupiers. Today, this memorial displays a plaque which they had made by the inmates on the prison island of Goli Otok in 1953. The plague was made in remembrance of the 1,433 victims of Croatian, Slovenian, and Jewish descent. The memorial is located in close proximity to the monastery. Kampor is gastronomically well prepared to host tourists and has a wide range of traditional pubs and restaurants with international cuisine.
